This haori is made using a traditional Japanese technique called hitta shibori. Its unique bumpy texture is created by skillfully tying small knots to prevent dye from soaking in during the dyeing process. Even an experienced artisan can only tie around 600 knots per day, as this work requires painstaking precision and patience. Sadly, fewer artisans are learning this craft, and this treasured skill is gradually disappearing. We offer this haori in four colors, so why not select your favorite while this beautiful technique is still available?
