The Tokaido Gojusan Tsugi (The 53 Stations of the Tokaido) is a famous series depicting the post towns along the historic Tokaido road, which connected Edo (Tokyo) to Kyoto. The daimyo procession refers to the ceremonial journeys of feudal lords (daimyo) and their entourages as they traveled to the capital. These scenes were popular subjects in traditional Japanese prints.

In the photo, the color may appear darker than the other doroso Oshima Tsumugi haori, but it is almost the same color.
